Mrs. McMullen's art classes enjoyed creating utilitarian handbuilding ceramic wares, learning techniques of pinching pots and slab building. Handbuilding is a ceramics process of forming clay with your hands without using a throwing wheel. Students made functional and fun pieces of art.

Thanks to the HSA, our elementary school students enjoyed Michael Patrick O'Neill as he shared his photography and stories about wildlife as well as his own writing process as an author. The students were very interested listeners and asked great questions about Mr. O'Neill's career, photography, animals, and writing.

At OMS the Municipal Alliance sponsored John Halligan sharing his son Ryan's story with our students, a story John has shared with over 2,000 schools throughout North America. Our students received a powerful message about being an upstander and about how to treat others.
