Dear Families,

We are off to a great start this school year! Students have settled in and are growing as readers, writers, scientists, geographers, movers, artists, musicians, and mathematicians.

Another important part of school is safety. Just like we practice reading, writing, and math, we also practice safety through drills. These drills help students feel prepared and confident.

We are sharing our drill schedule for the year along with the safety drill stories we use to prepare students. Teachers will share these with students before each drill, and we encourage you to review them at home as well.

Our first lockdown drill is scheduled for Thursday, September 4 at 8:30am. We will use the lockdown safety story below to prepare our students.

• Ms. Telgenhoff will be located in room 5
• Mr. Broussard will be located in the music room 9
• Ms. Terrizzi be located in the art room 10

All classroom teacher doors will be closed during the Meet our Specialist Time and will open at 6:00pm.

This event is designed for adults.

Childcare will not be provided.
The State of the School Address will be shared on Friday, September 12.

It’s time for our annual Student Registration Verification! Please take a moment to review and update your child’s information in the PowerSchool Parent Portal.

Why This Matters

• Stay Connected: Verify your contact details to receive emergency alerts, progress updates, and school news via BrightArrow and Remind.
• Complete Agreements: Confirm or update necessary permissions and agreements.
• Smooth Start: Avoid last-minute issues by completing this before the deadline.

How to Complete the Form:

1. Log In: Sign in to the PowerSchool Parent Portal. Contact your child’s school if you need an account.
2. Select Your Student: Choose the student to update.
3. Start Verification: Click on “Student Registration Verification” from the sidebar or the “Applications” icon.
4. Access the Form: Enter your child’s date of birth to verify your identity.
5. Review and Submit: Review the information, make any necessary changes, and submit the form.

Important: You can only complete the form from the account that first accessed it.
