December 2025 Newsletter
A Message From the Principal's Desk
Bloomer Middle School Families,
As we approach the exciting month of December, I want to recognize the achievements of our students during first trimester. We are proud of their outstanding efforts and the commitment they have shown in their academics, extracurricular activities, and behavior choices.
During this holiday season, students will begin a new trimester that will include exciting and valuable learning experiences. We are also looking forward to several other events that students will enjoy this month!
Happy holidays to you and yours!
Rhonda Herrick
BMS Principal
Report Cards
The trimester ended on November 20. Your child's report card will include feedback regarding their progress on first trimester learning targets.
Report cards are accessed through Skyward Family Access under the Portfolio tab. A district email and phone call will notify you when they are available. You will also be able to print them from Family Access if you would like to. Upon request, we will send a print copy to you. Contact your school office if you would like to make that request.
Holiday Break
There is no school for students December 24 through January 2.
Happy Holidays!
Winter Weather Gear
As the weather gets colder and snow arrives, please be sure your child comes to school prepared for the daily outdoor recess time. A warm coat, hat, and mittens are recommended and boots for those who choose to play in the snow.

Event Information
Congratulations to our Students of the Month!
Veteran's Day Program
BMS students currently enrolled in our Business Service Learning course presented a $2,850 check to our local Veterans Memorial at the event. The class smashed their goal of $1,200 through a letter writing campaign to collect sponsorships of flags in honor of our veterans, and created a field of flags at the front entrance of BMS.
Honoring our Veterans
Veterans Visit with Fifth Graders
Our fifth graders at BMS enjoyed a meaningful and memorable afternoon with several local Bloomer veterans during their visit to the Bloomer Veteran Center.
We are incredibly grateful for these veterans and their willingness to share their stories, teach students about flag folding and etiquette, and even bring along a sweet treat to enjoy together. This was the first year we were able to do this in the new Veterans Center as well! It was truly a special day in fifth grade!
Wall of Honor
Middle School students also created posters for our Veterans “Wall of Honor.” This school-wide project recognizes the veterans and active-duty military personnel connected to our BMS students and staff. Each student had the opportunity to design a poster celebrating the bravery and sacrifice of those who have served our country. If you’re visiting BMS this week, we welcome you to stop by and take a look!
BMS Students Visit CVTC
A group of eighth students in Mrs. Haas' Career Pathways class explored the Emergency Services programs at CVTC!
They gained hands-on insights into the critical roles of first responders and the life-saving skills they bring to our communities.
