Let's Celebrate Mrs. Pruett!
Happy National Assistant Principal's Week!
This week, April 7th-11th, is National Assistant Principal Appreciation Week, and we want to shine a big spotlight on our very own Mrs. Pruett! She works tirelessly to support our students, staff, and families—and always does it with a smile and heart full of care.
📝 Here’s how your family can help us celebrate:
1. Write a Note or Draw a Picture
Have your child (or your whole family!) write a thank-you note or draw a picture to show appreciation for Mrs. Pruett.
Notes can be simple, like:
“Thank you for helping us every day!” or
“We love how you always greet us with kindness!”
You can send them to school all week or drop them off in the front office.
2. Wear Blue on TUESDAY (April 8th)!
Let’s all wear blue on Tuesday, April 8th, to show school-wide appreciation.
Blue is calm, kind, and strong—just like Mrs. Pruett!
3. Family Challenge: "Pruett Positivity Project"
At dinner this week, take turns sharing one way you’ve seen kindness, leadership, or patience—traits that Mrs. Pruett models every day. Then, try to practice one of those qualities at school or home!

April Pillar Focus: Resilience
Family resilience themed ideas to try this month: Building Resilience Together
Resilience is the ability to bounce back from challenges, adapt to change, and keep going even when things get tough. This month, we’re focusing on ways families can help children develop resilience through simple, everyday activities. Try some of these ideas at home!
Resilience in Action: Family Role-Play:
Help kids practice problem-solving by acting out different scenarios together:
"What would you do if you didn’t make the team?"
"How do you handle losing a game?"
"What do you say when something is hard, but you want to keep trying?"
Let your child come up with solutions, and encourage a positive, problem-solving mindset!
Growth Mindset Jar:
Create a "Growth Mindset Jar" at home! Fill it with encouraging phrases like:
"I can learn from mistakes."
"I am strong even when things are tough."
"I can always try again."
When your child faces a challenge, have them pull a note from the jar as a reminder that they are capable and resilient!
Weekly Check-In Poll
