November Secondary Newsletter

Welcome to November!

The school year is flying by, and it is hard to believe we are already in November! The end of the second six weeks is Friday, November 6th, and we have several exciting events happening at Era ISD that day.

We will begin Friday morning with our annual Veterans Day Celebration at 9:00 a.m. If you are a veteran or have a family member who has served in the military, we would love for you to be our guest on this special morning as we honor those who have served our country. If you would like to have a veteran recognized in our Veterans Day slideshow, please send a picture and a short biography to Nina Peyrot at peyrotn@eraisd.net.

Later that afternoon, we will hold our Senior Pep Rally at 3:00 p.m. in the gym. We will wrap up the day with our 2026 Fall Senior Night Celebration at 6:15 p.m. at Bob Grundy Memorial Stadium, just before our final home football game against Boles. We look forward to recognizing our seniors and their families for their dedication and contributions to Era ISD.

The following week, our Hornet football team will compete in the Bi-District Playoffs! Our opponent and game location will be determined after this newsletter is published. Please keep an eye on our school’s social media pages for updates and game details. We are excited to cheer on our Hornets as they begin their playoff journey!

Our Junior High One Act Play students will compete in their District competition on Tuesday, November 17th, at Pottsboro High School. The competition begins at 2:00 p.m., and Era is scheduled to perform fourth out of five plays. We wish our students and directors the best of luck as they represent Era ISD!

As a reminder, Thanksgiving Break will be November 23rd–27th. We hope everyone enjoys a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday with family and friends. When we return from break, we will jump right into a very busy December as we prepare to wrap up the fall semester.

Thank you for your continued support of Era ISD and our students. We are fortunate to have such a supportive school community. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.
