Lower School - 8/27
August 27, 2026
FROM THE PRINCIPAL'S DESK
We are four days into the new school year and your student is doing amazing! Here are the few things to continue to set your kiddo up for success.
Classrooms open at 7:45 AM.
- Students should be in their classrooms and ready to begin the school day by 8:00 AM.
- If your child is still feeling a little unsure about where to go, encourage them to find an MCA staff member. We will be ready to help!
Lunch Account Reminder
Please take a moment to make sure there are funds available in your child’s lunch account. Taking care of this before the first day will help lunch run smoothly as students settle back into their school routines.
Afternoon Dismissal
School dismissal begins at 2:55 PM. Each grade level has an assigned dismissal door and traffic pattern. Please review the attached MCA Dismissal and Pick Up Map so you know where to enter, where your child will be picked up, and how to exit the parking lot.
Going to X-tended Day?
If your child will attend X-tended Day after school, please make sure your child has been registered for the program. Knowing each student’s dismissal plan ahead of time helps us make sure every child gets to the correct location at the end of the day.

Read-Aloud Spotlight: First Day Jitters
Our Class Is a Family reminds students that a classroom can be a place where everyone belongs, supports one another, learns together, and shows kindness. It emphasizes that even though students may be different, they can still build a strong, caring classroom community. Romans 12:10 calls us to be devoted to one another in love, which reminds us that we are each part of one body (1 Corinthians 12:27).

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for giving me the opportunity to begin another school year. As I start this first week, please give me strength, confidence, and a positive attitude.
Help me to learn new things, work hard, and not be afraid to ask for help. Guide me to make good choices and treat my teachers, classmates, and friends with kindness and respect.
When I feel nervous, stressed, or overwhelmed, remind me that I am never alone. Give me patience when things are difficult and courage to keep trying.
Please bless my teachers, my classmates, and everyone in our school. Help us make this a year filled with learning, friendship, growth, and joy.
In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen
