Principal's Message
Dear Winnetka Families,
Week 10 was a short but exciting four-day week! We wrapped up the week with our annual Fall Fest, where our scholars enjoyed dressing in their favorite fall outfits and our Wildcat families came together for an evening of fun and celebration! Thank you to everyone who attended and supported this event! All funds raised through our activity booths go directly back to our grade levels to support student incentives, instructional materials, and field trips. Your participation helps us create meaningful experiences and opportunities for our scholars! Also, a special thank you to the parents/ volunteers that helped make decorations and set up for the event!! You really brought the fall feeling to life!!
This week, we are looking forward to Parent Conference Night! Please be sure to sign up using the link provided by your child's teacher. We encourage families to set a reminder on their phones or calendars so they don't miss their scheduled conference. To ensure that every family has the opportunity to meet with their child's teacher, we kindly ask that you arrive on time for your reserved time slot. We value this opportunity to strengthen our home-school partnership and celebrate our scholars' academic progress!
We also have a BIG milestone ahead! Our new outdoor classroom will officially come to life this Tuesday, weather permitting! We are beyond excited to bring together our community, volunteers, sponsors, and scholars for this special day. What started as a vision is becoming a reality, and we cannot wait to see this beautiful outdoor learning space take shape! A heartfelt thank-you to everyone who has signed up to volunteer their time and energy to help us BUILD something incredible for our Wildcats!
We will close out the week with another exciting session of In-School Clubs! If you would like your child to participate in this special hour of enrichment and exploration, please ensure their permission form has been submitted. We have made tremendous progress since last month and are now missing only about 20 forms! We hope to have every scholar participate in this wonderful opportunity.
One final reminder regarding our chocolate fundraiser: We are still awaiting outstanding funds from approximately 12 students. Please make every effort to turn in all remaining money as soon as possible so we can officially close out our fundraiser and move forward with planning student incentives and celebrations. As outlined in the fundraiser permission slip, "Students with a past-due fundraiser balance will not be eligible to be part of other school celebrations until the balance is paid in full." We appreciate your prompt attention and cooperation in helping us finalize this fundraiser!
Finally, don't forget that this week is Character Counts Week! We encourage all scholars to participate in our themed accessories days as we celebrate the importance of kindness, respect, responsibility, and good character. Be sure to check out the flyer in this week's newsletter for all the details!
We look forward to another wonderful week filled with learning, community, and exciting opportunities for our Wildcats. Thank you for your continued partnership as we BUILD EXCELLENCE together!
With Wildcat Pride,
Principal Jove
