Meet Mrs. Hounshell

This is Mrs. Hounshell's 20th year in education...all at Hamilton Middle School! She has a BME from Loyola University (New Orleans) and a MM from LSU. She is looking forward to another great year at Hamilton!

This is Mr. Sellers 2nd year of teaching! He has his BME from Stephen F. Austin State University. He is also a product of CFISD, graduating from Cypress Ranch HS in 2018. Mr. Sellers is looking forward to an exciting year!

Choir Bell Schedule 23-24

This week in choir...

LOTS of fun stuff happened this week!

We continued learning our songs for the fall concert on October 9. We also signed our social contracts. We also tested our solfege hand signs by having hand sign battles. Students decorated handprints that we'll put on our #HamFamChoir banner.

7th and 8th graders were assigned their formal uniforms. We will continue with uniform assignments on Monday.

Next week in choir...

We will continue with identifying notes and rests, along with practicing our music for the fall concert.

Mrs. Bull from Cy-Fair HS choir will be coming to work with our Tenor/Bass choir on Thursday!

Cell Phone Policy

There is no reason for your student to have their cell phone out in choir. If you need to reach them during their choir period, please email Mrs. Hounshell (Lauren.Hounshell@cfisd.net) or Mr. Sellers (Joshua.Sellers@cfisd.net) and we will communicate with them. Cell phones should remain in student's backpacks on the backpack shelves OR in the "cell phone hotel."
