Hello Lincoln Community,
With the first day of school less than ten days away, we're so excited to have everyone returning to Lincoln! If you're new to our school community, we're pleased to welcome you to Lincoln! On Monday next week our teachers return to set up their classrooms and engage in professional development. On Wednesday, our classified staff return. Together we'll prepare for a powerful start to the year.
The First Day of School for Students: For 1st through 5th graders school will begin on Monday, August 26th. School hours will be the same this year with the instructional day starting at 7:55 and ending at 2:20. Like past years, our kindergartners will have a staggered start with approximately a third of the students attending each of the first four days; then on Friday, August 30, all kindergartners will have their first day together.
Additional Details Coming Soon: Next week, we'll send out more information, including the name of your child's teacher, a copy of the school year calendar, and other items. You'll also receive specific information on your child's bus stop and the pick up and drop off times for that stop. In the meantime, if you have questions, you can call the Lincoln office at 503-981-2825.
Roof Construction Continues: Facilities improvements include a new roof for our school, a project that started mid-June and will be completed very soon. While the construction work is expected to go through October, care is being taken to ensure that it doesn't impact our school day. And, once it's complete, we look forward to having a solid roof for years to come.
