Principals' Message
Dear SCS Families and Caregivers,
An immense about of gratitude for all of the kind gestures this week to celebrate CVSD Staff appreciation week!
Wednesday marked an inspiring occasion as we welcomed the enthusiastic "SCS Class of 2035" for their kindergarten orientation. These bright young learners actively engaged in exploration, creation, and construction, laying the foundation for collaborative relationships with their peers and dedicated educators. To conclude their initial experience at SCS, each student departed with a non-fiction book generously provided by our PTO. Their joyful engagement offered a promising glimpse into the vibrant community we will foster in the upcoming school year.
We also welcomed a quintet of goats back from New Village Farm this week to help us celebrate spring. We are grateful to Meghan Bustamantes and Quigley Lyden for all their help in making sure this tradition continues, and for leading our crew of student Goat Ambassadors. Students will handle all aspects of goat-tending - if you are paying them a visit, please remember not to feed them. Thereโs a great video with ideas for what you can do with the goats available here.
We hope you enjoy your weekends. Happy Mothers Day to all who are celebrating!
In partnership,
Antonia, Jen and Brett
The SCS Administrative team
