Craddock's Weekly Update
The Final Weekly Update of the School Year! Happy Summer!
Happy, happy summer Craddock families!
While some days feel like they last forever, the majority of the school year absolutely flies by! Wednesday we paid tribute to four AMAZING educators, who have given so much of their time, energy and lives to the students and staff of Craddock - Speech Pathologist Pam Altman, Occupational Therapist Leslie Lucas, PE Teacher Gretchen Jessel and Library Assistant Barb Kudley. They are all headed to retirement and we are at a loss for words at how amazing these ladies are and just how much they have given Craddock. They each truly leave a legacy behind that is filled with the hugest hearts, kindest smiles and warmest feelings all around. We will miss each of them greatly and wish each of them the very best as they begin the next steps of their journeys!
Thursday brought our school-wide clap out for our second graders and then Lunch on the Lawn! I have not met a more genuine, funny, hard-working and kind group of students! We will greatly miss their amazing personalities walking throughout the Craddock hallways next year!
This is my final communication to you for the 25-26 school year! Thank you for your endless support, patience and grace with us throughout the year! The Craddock staff wishes you the most amazing summer ever, filled with lots of great health, happiness and new memories! Soak up every single day, even the ordinary ones!
I will send an update in late June/early July and then begin regular weekly communication with all our 1st and 2nd grade families again at the beginning of August! Placements will be out via email on August 10th and our first day back for students whose last names begin with A-L is Tuesday, August 18th, M-Z is Wednesday, August 19th and ALL students report together for the first time on Thursday, August 20th! Lots more to come in the coming months!
Take care and best wishes for the happiest summer ever!

One Final Message from Craddock's School Counselor, Mrs. Schnur
Hello Craddock Families!
I cannot believe summer break is right around the corner! This year went so fast! I am so glad to have worked alongside your student(s) for yet another school year. It is such a privilege! I will greatly miss our second grade students who I have gotten to know these past two years but wish them the best of luck at Leighton! They are going to do such great things and I cannot wait to see all they accomplish. I am already looking forward to welcoming our first graders back in August as second graders and getting to know all of our new first grade students!
Our May career lesson was a huge success! I want to thank all of the family members who shared a video with me. The students enjoyed this lesson so much, as did the staff! It was so cool to learn about the careers of people in our community. I think it is so important to expose our students to different careers as they might spark a new interest in them and help them grow.
In my August update I will include a link to a google form that will allow you to share any information with me about the social emotional needs of your child. On this form there will also be a section to make me aware of any additional needs your family may have or other ways I can support you. Be on the lookout for that at the end of the summer!
I recently found out about a free online program through the state of Ohio called “The Triple P-Positive Parenting Program”. This is a great resource to check out if you’re looking for some guidance on how to support your child's development and well-being! I have linked the website below! This could be a great resource to check out over the summer!

Here is a fun, optional resource to complete this summer that focuses on social emotional learning!
Thank you for all of your support this school year and I look forward to partnering with you again soon for another successful and fun school year! :)
Have a fun and safe summer! I can’t wait to hear all about it!
Take care,
Claudia Schnur
