Well NAPLAN is done and dusted for another year. Our Year 3 and Year 5 students tried their best at all tasks and we are very proud of their efforts to complete at times a difficult test. Thank you to Miss Margaret and Miss Bec for coordinating the tests this year, results will be available later in the year.
The term is quickly coming to an end and we are heading towards the most important part of our Catholic calendar - Easter. Our classes are learning why Easter is so important as they learn about Jesus' resurrection, which is the foundation of our faith. The students are learning that through our belief in the resurrection we have hope for eternal life. We have also been supporting Project Compassion and raising money to support people in countries that have little opportunities for those that are disadvantaged, thank you to our families for also supporting.
A reminder that the last day of Term One for students is WEDNESDAY 9th April. Thursday and Friday will be student free days.
Lastly a huge THANK YOU to all of our families as we celebrate student attendance which is currently at 83% across the school, this outstanding result is from your hard work ensuring that your children arrive at school on time and come everyday. We have also seen growth in students' reading skills, spelling skills and writing skills across all year levels. A recent review of our mathematics data shows that our students are developing skills in multiplication and division at a faster rate than other areas, which we celebrate as these concepts can be very challenging to understand.
