This Week @ Wright
Dcember 16th-20th-2024
Hello parents,
Congratulations to our students for working hard on their iReady Diagnostics last week. This week is Christmas Spirit Week. Our theme is Nightmare Before Christmas! I finally watched the movie. I enjoyed it. If you haven't watched it yet, it is on Disney+.
Students can dress up throughout the week. The flyer is below with specifics.
Friday is a half-day, please let your child's teacher know how your child will get home if it is different. Also, remember, Kids Club will not open. Dismissal begins at 11:30. 3K will dismiss at 10:45.
Remember:
1- You must pick your child up by 11:45
2- You have to get your 3K-2nd grader off the bus so, be at the bus stop at 11:30.
We have 4 and a 1/2 school days until our Holiday Break. We are still teaching and learning.
Please send your children to school every day unless they are sick. Students who are absent regularly, do not perform well in school.
If you want your child to do well in school, they must be in school.
Best regards,
Mrs. Jordan

New District/School CellPhone Policy
Phones OFF/Learning ON: New D7 Cell Phone Policy Effective January 2025
The South Carolina General Assembly has required all school districts to implement policies that prohibit students from accessing personal electronic communication devices during the school day. District 7’s new policy is effective as of January 2025. All student personal electronic devices must be powered off and stored out of sight from the tardy bell until dismissal. This includes all personal devices used to access the Internet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or cellular telephone signals (cell phones, wearable technology such as Smartwatches, Airpods, headphones, etc.). The full District 7 Board Policy “Possession/Use of Electronic Communication Devices in School” is available here: http://spartanburg7.org/CellPhonePolicy.
Thank you for partnering with D7 to help our students understand and follow this policy. Working together, we will achieve our best with “Phones OFF/Learning ON”!
You can also visit our Mary Wright website to download the updated Student/Parent Handbook.
Please reach out if you have ANY questions.
