Punctuality
Please make a special effort to have your child in school by 8.50am every day. We start with important class activities first thing in the morning and it takes a little time to get everyone settled and ready.
Arriving late can be upsetting for the child and can also interrupt the class.
School Uniform Reminder
As the weather begins to improve and we move into the summer term, we would like to remind parents about our school uniform expectations.
With “shorts season”, please note that the only shorts permitted are:
- Official school shorts (Available from Buckleys on Shandon Street or https://corkschooluniforms.ie/product/st-patricks-girls-shorts/ )
- Plain navy knee length shorts (https://www.dunnesstores.com/fleece-shorts---pack-of-2--3-16-years--6569153/p?skuId=36851)
Other styles, colours, or branded shorts are not part of the school uniform.
Glanmore New Menu
Attached is a message from Glanmore.
Please take this opportunity to talk to your child about whether you want to continue ordering for them. To manage waste, it is best to cancel your order on the app if you no longer wish to receive the hot lunches.
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Our new menu is almost here so we need you to place your orders immediately.
The easiest way to do this is by following these three simple steps:
- In the bottom right-hand corner of the homepage, click ‘New Menu’
- Select ‘Automatic Orders’
- Choose your preferred option for each day
A visual guide is also included below to help walk you through the process in more detail.
Our new menu offers greater variety for your children and introduces handheld and no-gravy options for some of their favourite meals.
We encourage you to explore the new options and place your orders as soon as possible to ensure your child can enjoy the full range available.
Thank you for your continued support.

Ciorcal Cainte for Parents
I'm reaching out from The Irish Hub, an online Irish language learning platform for adult learners.
We run a free weekly Ciorcal Cainte every Tuesday evening at 8:30pm on Zoom. It's informal, teacher-led, and open to all levels. No homework, no pressure - just spoken Irish in a friendly group.
We also run a structured 8-week Beginners Irish course for adults who want to build real conversational ability from scratch.
We'd love to make both available to the parents in your school community, many of whom, we know from experience, want to keep up with their children as they progress through their education.
Would you be willing to share the attached flyer with your parents? A quick note in your next newsletter or WhatsApp group would be more than enough, we're not asking for anything beyond that.
Registration for the Ciorcal Cainte is free and takes less than a minute at theirishhub.ie/ciorcal-cainte.
Thank you for your time, and for everything you do to keep the language alive in your community.
