From Mrs. Hubbard, Principal
Our school community deserves a big thank you for the incredible effort given as we welcomed students back to school safely after last weekend’s major snowstorm. Our outstanding custodians worked tirelessly to clear snow and treat walkways around our building, which was no easy task. Our wonderful bus drivers are loved and appreciated for their expertise navigating narrow roads and tall snow banks. Our parents and guardians patiently maneuvered through arrival and dismissal changes without issue. The flexibility and teamwork shown by our entire staff was also appreciated. Our community's commitment to our students truly reflects the strength of the Governor Winslow School family.
Thank you and have a wonderful weekend!

Dear Parents and Guardians,
In the past couple of weeks we have seen an increased number of students who are sick. The winter is always hard with germs, in an effort to stop the spread as much as possible we are asking that you keep your student home if they are not feeling well. Below are the guidelines taken from the Marshfield Public Schools District website:
The following general guidelines will help you determine when your child should stay home from school:
When your child has a communicable disease such as strep throat or conjunctivitis that has not been treated for at least 24 hours with antibiotic medication
When your child has had a fever of 100 degrees or greater within the past 24 hours without fever- reducing medication
When your child has been vomiting or has had diarrhea within the past 24 hours
Please reach out with any questions, thinking healthy thoughts for the following weeks!
Sincerely,
Courtney Powers BSN MPH RN

PickUp Patrol (PUP)
GWS will continue to use the PickUp Patrol (PUP) App to help us better manage our dismissal process. PUP allows parents to electronically make daily dismissal changes from a computer or smart phone. Families that have not already registered should have received an email with login information.
