Hello FES Families,

Wow, what a first full week of school. It was definitely a wet one! I know none of us would have ever guessed we would have an eLearning Day on day 7 of the school year.

We had a great start to the school year this week. It is wonderful to see smiling faces, laughter, and chatter in the hallways. Teachers and students used the week to settle into their new classrooms for the year. We have some new faces this year! Welcome to our new families to FES. We are happy you are here!

This year we have had some staff changes. Please welcome Mrs. Alyssa Armnatrout (Lifeskills Teacher), Miss Kalyn Dilts (1st Grade Teacher), Mrs. Mandy Neff (5th Grade Teacher), Mrs. Ashley Spaulding (Reading/Math Interventionist), Mrs. Alley Tracy (Lifeskills IA), Mrs. Katie Roudebush (PreK IA), Mrs. Dani Jachim (Resource IA) and Mrs. Leslie Hare (Media Center/Library). Three of our teachers were married last year, and will have name changes soon: Mrs. Audrey (Gaines) Stroup, Mrs. Jessica (Patton) Ellington, and Mrs. Bri (Bell) Feola.

We are excited for the 2026-2027 school year and to see all the amazing adventures and journeys the students will discover.

Our World's Finest Chocolate fundraiser is off to a wonderful start! Thank you to all the families who are participating. If you want to secure a box of all caramel bars, they have to be prepaid and there are only a few boxes left. Please contact Adrienne Wise (awise@flcs.k12.in.us) if you have any questions about the fundraiser.

What is Parent Club? The Parent Club plans fun events throughout the year that brings the school community together. Events such as: school dances (grades 4-6), Popcorn Day, Grandparent's Night, Fun Run, Carnival, Skating Party, and many more fun activities!

If you are interested in volunteering or learning more, please join us for the first meeting of the year on Tuesday, August 18th @ 6:30pm. Can't make it? Contact the school and they will get information to you on how to contact a parent club member.

A newsletter will be sent through Parent Square bi-weekly. Please be sure to check it out for important and helpful information and news for families.

We’ve extended Fall Ball registration through MIDNIGHT this Friday! This is the absolute last chance to get your player signed up before teams are selected.

Kid Pitch Ages 10–12
League age is based on your child’s age as of April 30.

$60 per player
$10 discount for each additional child in the same family
