NMS Family Newsletter
Week of Dec 9 - Dec 13
Principal's Message
Dear NMS families,
I want to inform you about an important update to our attendance notification process, starting Monday, December 9th.
To better support communication between school and home, we will implement an automated phone and text messaging system to notify parents and guardians of student absences. Notifications will be sent at 9:50 AM and 1:40 PM for students marked absent during the day.
This system is designed to:
- Promptly inform parents/guardians when their child is absent.
- Encourage timely communication with the office to report absences.
- Assist our office staff in maintaining accurate attendance records.
If you receive a notification and have already informed the school of your child’s absence, there is no further action needed. If you have not yet reported the absence, please contact our office as soon as possible to provide the necessary information.
We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we work to ensure the safety and accountability of all our students. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to the school office.
Thank you for your ongoing support of our school community!

Principal, NMS
Starting in January we will be offering a CPR/First Aid club. Google surveys will be sent out to
students soon and I will reach out to parents regarding day/times, and fees. The course will run
about 3-4 hours, broken up over 2 days, or the full time on a Saturday. Based on student interest
we will offer this class multiple times. If you have interest in your student becoming American
Heart Association CPR/first aid certified, please speak to them about signing up or reach out to
me with any questions.
Who should take this course?
The AHA’s Heart saver First Aid CPR AED Course is designed for anyone with little or
