Semester 2
Week 25 at Plummer
Plummer family, make sure you are reading all updates. We had a great Thursday school and the school Circus was a huge success. Coach Williamson posted video and pictures on our twitter page. Thank you for coming through Plummer Family. We need more support for our PTA and volunteerism. Come out on those nights. We need you.
The vendor for the Spirit and Pride T-shirts have given us one more week. Please turn your final orders in by Friday of this week.
Please continue to follow on twitter, CHISD website and the Smore for updates.
Scholars should read a minimum of 20 minutes daily. Give them the tools to soar!
Please have your scholars in a seat on time. Doors open at 7:15a unless weather warrants an earlier time of 7:00a. Tardy bell is at 7:30a because class starts at 7:30a. We need every minute to count. Help us grow our scholars!

Kids Heart Challenge Message
Hi Plummer Elementary Parents,
The American Heart Association visited our school today to kick off the Kids Heart Challenge (formerly Jump Rope for Heart)! During their visit, students joined teams to work together to defeat heart disease while learning how easy and FUN it can be to take care of our hearts!
Over the next few weeks, students will continue learning more about heart disease, exercise, healthy eating, and the importance of helping/giving back to others. We hope you will join us as we work to support the American Heart Association’s mission of saving lives. Sign up through the Kids Heart Challenge App (App Store for iPhone or Google Play for Android) or online at www.heart.org/khc
Last year we raised over $3,000 and this year we have set a goal to reach $3,500 or more raised to help fight heart disease! To help us reach our goal, we are taking a SLIME CHALLENGE!!! Any student who raises $100 (or more!) earns a cup of SLIME and will get to SLIME Coach Williamson!!!
Check out our Heart Hero Alexa explaining more about this fun experience: https://youtu.be/mJYbsNji1QA
Thanks for making our community HEART HEALTHY!

Bringing Food to Celebrate
If you would like to recognize your child at school on his/her birthday, please contact your child’s homeroom teacher so that he/she can notify the office. On your child’s birthday, you may bring store bought cupcakes or packaged fruit and individual juice/water at the time indicated by the teacher and/or campus. Cupcakes should not be dropped off and left with the teacher or the office. If your child’s birthday falls on a weekend or a non-school day, contact the campus if alternate arrangements will be made.
Arrangements should be made at least 24 hours, preferably one week, prior to the child’s birthday so that the teacher can verify that it will not interrupt scheduled class activities.
