2024-2025 Picture Dates
Parents - Our district partners with Heritage Photography in Van Buren for a lot of our picture needs. Scheduling for the next school year starts in May or June. Every effort is made to avoid conflicts with activities that are taking place within the school day (i.e. testing, field trips, etc.). It is also important to schedule pictures as much as possible to keep students from being pulled from too much class time.
We work to stick to this schedule as much as possible; however, situations may arise that could prompt a change in the schedule. Communications will be sent out as soon as possible should this occur.
The 2024-2025 Picture Day Schedule is provided below.

Dress Code Expectations
A school typically has a dress code to create an environment conducive to learning and to promote a sense of discipline and unity among students. Here are some key reasons:
Minimizing Distractions: A dress code helps minimize distractions in the classroom by ensuring that students wear clothing that is appropriate and not overly attention-grabbing. This allows students to focus more on their studies.
Promoting Equality: By implementing a dress code, schools can reduce peer pressure and social competition related to clothing. It creates a more level playing field where students are less likely to be judged based on their attire.
Ensuring Safety: Certain types of clothing can pose safety risks or be inappropriate for the school environment. A dress code can help ensure that students wear clothing that is safe and suitable for various school activities.
Encouraging Professionalism: Dress codes can teach students the importance of dressing appropriately for different settings, which is a valuable life skill. It can also help set the tone for a more serious and respectful learning environment.
Building School Identity: Dress codes, especially uniforms, can foster a sense of school identity and pride. Wearing similar attire can make students feel like they are part of a cohesive community.
Overall, a dress code is a tool that schools use to maintain a positive, focused, and respectful atmosphere that supports the educational mission.
