Cohort Update "Patience" -2022-
"History in the Making" (2/16/21)
- Patience -
Greetings to my awesome team of 2022 super-stars and happy 3rd week of Black History Month celebration. This week has certainly throw a curve/snow ball, but we are well prepared to handle the adversity; we are Warriors! The theme for this week is right on time - Patience. How many times have you heard the phrase, "Patience is Golden"? Let me be the first to agree and say, "YES" that statement is absolutely correct. I admit that I often get into my school mode, dad mode, business mode and or workout mode and forget that my mode doesn't always match up to everything else that is going on around me. I have to remind myself to slow down and be Patient with the process and let the process produce the results. Ms. Reynolds reminded me today of why certain things in life are so valuable, delicious or exceptional. It's because certain aspects of life cannot been rushed or thrown together hastily. Some things simply take time to become exceptional or polished. As we continue with our daily lives, we must remember to be Patient with ourselves, with those around us, and with the overall process of growth. Take moments to reflect on your goals this week and be willing to be Patient for your desired outcomes. Trust me....YOUR finished product is worth the wait!
WC-Strong!
Much Love,

Week 3 of Black History Month - Celebrate Greatness!!!
Be sure to connect with your teachers this week to ensure you have all of your needed assignments completed and ready to be reviewed. Please log into your Zoom meetings, Canvas and or Apex as you are assigned to do so. I want each of you to keep up stride for stride on your daily responsibilities and ask good questions when you are feeling a bit lost. You know that I am here for you so stay connected and say present. Be Patient with your learning process, all good things come in time on time every time! Besides...the last thing you need is Mr. Russell emailing you about something you already know needs to be done! So stay focused and let's smash this week out!
Let's have the best 3rd week in February that you can have and remember that we will never leave you!
- Never stop trying...
- Never stop believing...
- Never give up on yourself...
- Because you are enough...
Guess who Loves you?

From Mrs. Boyd - your Cohort Secretary!!!
It's almost time to be back in the building everyone...and I can't wait for you to stop by and say hello. Be sure to practice good social distancing and keep your hands clean at all times. Your mask must be worn over your face and mouth so you protect yourself. And PLEASE stop by the office and say "what's up" on your scheduled in person day. If you are virtual and want to email me - get it drafted and send it my way!
Remember, If you have a new phone number, email address or new address where you live please get that information to me as soon as possible. If you have moved or your address has changed you must provide me with a new lease or mortgage and utility bill information.
Work permits are still being accepted. You can come by with your completed forms and I will look up all of your information to see if you will granted permission to be employed and earn some good money this semester. FYI...school work comes first!
Have the Patience to be excellent class of 2022 - I'm not going anywhere!!!

Celebrate Greatness and Continue Honoring Black History Month!
As most of you learned during our post-ISTEP activities these past couple of weeks, this year we will be doing our scheduling virtually using Synergy's online scheduling system. Our hope is that this will greatly speed up the scheduling process compared to what we have done previously. This is a new process, however, and we are working out some bugs. We ask that you please have patience with the process as we work to get it right.
Below you will find the link for the how-to video for online scheduling. Remember, just because your counselor is not sitting with you as you look through your classes does not mean we aren't still assisting you; be PATIENT. We will be going through each and every one of your schedules to make sure you are taking all of the classes still needed for graduation. Also keep in mind that the recommended classes that were pre-loaded for you are only based on your classes and performance this year and not on your performance as a whole. As we check your schedule, the recommendation for you may change. We will communicate these changes with you as we go.

With the assistance of Ms. Moeller, we have also prepared a video to highlight some of the most important things we want you to be thinking about as we finish out junior year and head into senior year. You'll find the link for this video below, along with a link to the PowerPoint we presented.
