Dear Eagle Families,

As the school year comes to a close, we are excited to celebrate two very special milestones, our Kindergarten and 8th Grade Promotions! This is a joyful time for our students, families, and staff as we recognize the hard work, growth, and achievements of our learners. Our 8th grade students are preparing to take the next big step into high school, while our kindergarteners are building a strong foundation as they move forward in their educational journey.

Both promotion ceremonies will take place on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, with the 8th Grade Promotion beginning at 8:00 AM and the Kindergarten Promotion at 11:00 AM. We look forward to celebrating these memorable moments together as a school community.

To make these events truly special, we are seeking volunteers to assist with decorations, setup, and overall support. Your time and creativity can help create a meaningful and festive atmosphere that our students will remember for years to come. Whether you can lend a hand with decorating, organizing, or day-of coordination, your support is greatly appreciated.

State testing is an important opportunity for students to demonstrate what they have learned throughout the year and to show their growth and progress. It’s essential that students come prepared each day by getting a good night’s rest, eating a well-balanced meal, and arriving to school on time so they can begin testing focused and stress-free. A healthy breakfast helps fuel the brain, while being punctual ensures students don’t feel rushed and can start with a clear mind. Most importantly, students should give their best effort, take their time, and approach each question with confidence, knowing that their hard work all year has prepared them for success.

Valley View is proud to announce the establishment of our Parent-Teacher-Student Organization (PTSO), which was officially approved during the March 3rd Governing Board Meeting. Since its approval, our dedicated parent volunteers have demonstrated exceptional initiative, quickly organizing efforts to support our school community. They are currently hosting after-school and game-day snack sales to raise funds for important initiatives such as Teacher Appreciation Week, Morning Crew celebrations, and other student and staff recognition events. Join us for Valley View’s Leadership Day on Wednesday, May 6, 2026. This special event will provide families and community members with an opportunity to learn more about Valley View and how we intentionally integrate the Leader in Me framework into our daily practices. Guests will experience student leadership in action while enjoying an engaging atmosphere that includes food, fun, and school-wide festivities. We look forward to welcoming you for this meaningful and informative event.
