Hello, ELC Families-
What an amazing time at the Pt. Defiance Zoo last Friday for our Kindergarten students, staff, and volunteers! Thank you again for all your support with the fall fundraiser this year that made it possible for this memorable adventure! It is hard to believe that it is now June, and our Kindergarteners are getting ready to make the next step to Daffodil or Maple Lawn. Here are some important dates to keep in mind this week to support this process:
6/3 – DVE and MLE “Welcome to 1st Grade Night!” (5:30-6:30pm) at your student’s respective school (see attached flier)
6/4 – Field trip to DVE if your child is slated to be going there next fall
6/5 – Field trip to MLE if your child is slated to be going there next fall
Also as a reminder, we are still in our “ABC Countdown” to when we will “zoom off” on “Z Day” for summer on June 16! Please watch for communication coming from your child’s teacher for more details on planned activities. For your calendars, here are the remaining dress-up days that will be attached to some of the days:
June 1 – O is for the Ocean…dress like you are going to the ocean day!
June 4 – R is for Rainbow…wear an outfit that has all the colors of the rainbow!
June 5 – S is for Sunglasses and Sunhats…wear your favorite summer gear day!
June 12 – X is for Xtreme Tie Dye…wear Tie Dye Day!
June 15 – Y is for Yellow…dress in all the Yellow you have for today!

Upcoming Dates

6/5 – Field trip to MLE for Kindergarten students that will be going to 1st grade at MLE
6/11 – Kindergarten Celebration in the evening…please review the details in Parent Square that were sent from Mrs. Rawson on 5/21 🙂
6/12 – Early release for Kindergarten students at 11:50 to support high school graduations…lunches will be served
6/16 – LAST day of school for Kindergarteners (early release at 11:50)
