Message From Mr. Faehndrich
Principal of Dwight D. Eisenhower Middle School
Next week marks the start of the second half of the school year. Time flies when you're having fun! It is a good time to reset, refocus, and think about finishing strong. As we enter this stretch, we encourage all students to reflect on the progress they’ve made and set goals for continued growth. For our 8th graders, the Class of 2026, this second half is especially important. With high school just around the corner, now is the time to sharpen academic skills, build strong habits, and push for that next level of performance. The work they do over the coming months will help ensure they are confident, capable, and ready for the challenges ahead.
As we continue through these unusually cold weeks, please remember to bundle up and stay warm. We appreciate everyone’s flexibility as we navigate the freezing temperatures together.
Let’s make the second half of the year one to be proud of!
Last Weeks Survey Results... I hope you got to spend Monday morning in bed. Sleeping in is the best part of a snow day according to our poll.

Cold Weather Drop Off
To ensure proper traffic flow and student supervision during morning arrival, Officer Sisto will allow drop-off and entrance through the main doors only after 7:55 a.m.
Students arriving before 7:55 a.m. should report to their designated entrances. Those entrances will open at 7:45 a.m. on days when the “real feel” temperature is below freezing. On all other days, they will open at 7:55 a.m. Please be sure students are dressed appropriately for the weather.

Accessing i-Ready Diagnostic Results
Eisenhower Middle School students recently completed their second i-Ready Diagnostic. This adaptive assessment is a powerful tool that identifies your student's unique strengths and specific opportunities for growth. By understanding where they stand, we can better determine how to best support their learning journey. Teacher have begun to review data and personalize instruction in Math and ELA.
We encourage parents and students to sit down together to review these results. It’s a fantastic way to celebrate hard work, discuss personal academic goals, and keep students motivated as they take more ownership of their learning. Teachers will be using this data with students in the classroom to focus on meeting learning expectations, and your support in reviewing these at home is invaluable.
How to Access Your Results & Materials
To view the "For Families" report and access supplemental learning materials, students and parents can follow these steps to log in through the district portal:
Log in to ClassLink: Visit the ClassLink Dashboard and click "Login Here".
Sign in with Google: Use the student's district email and password. Note: Usernames and passwords are located in the Genesis Parent Portal. Reminder: You must add @wyckoffps.org to the username to complete the login email (e.g., samsmi26@wyckoffps.org).
Open i-Ready: Click on the i-Ready icon within the dashboard.
Find the Report: Click on the "For Families" dropdown and select the "For Families report".
Enter the Code: When prompted, enter the EMS District Report Code: PHM0KG (note: the 0 is a zero).
In addition to score reports, the i-Ready platform provides access to academic materials for math. This includes helpful instructional videos designed to support an understanding of complex concepts.
Understanding the Data Together
The blue bars on the graph show performance in relation to grade-level expectations, which are represented by the green shading. You will also see a National Norm percentile ranking that indicates performance in relation to other students in the same grade nationwide.
The domain table breaks performance down into specific learning areas, helping to know where to build on strengths and focus instructional support.
Beyond looking at the numbers, use this as a chance to connect and celebrate strengths so students feel motivated and ready to work on their goals. Thank you for your partnership.
