Eagle Ridge- eThursday Folder
September 4, 2025
Message From the Principal
It’s a great day to be an Eagle!
I hope all Eagle Ridge families enjoyed a wonderful Labor Day weekend. For me, this holiday is a reminder of adventure—camping, fishing, and exploring new places. That spirit of discovery is exactly what I see in our students each day as they approach learning with curiosity and courage.
Even in this short week, our students have impressed us with their perseverance, thoughtful questions, and collaboration. Their enthusiasm and resilience light up our classrooms and remind us why Eagle Ridge is such a special place.
Thank you for encouraging your children to take risks, embrace challenges, and celebrate the joy of learning. Together, we are raising not only strong students, but also compassionate and confident young people.

From the Counselor's Corner
Welcome back, Eagles!
The Eagle Ridge Counseling Department, Linda Lieber and Laura Miller, extend a warm welcome back to all parents and students for the 25-26 school year! We are confident it will be a year where your student excels, feels connected, and makes so many foundational memories.
This year, Eagle Ridge, in partnership with Douglas County School District, is excited to implement weekly social emotional learning lessons through the K-12 Social Emotional Learning (SEL) curriculum, Wayfinder. In order to foster student belonging and connectedness in school, these lessons will focus on building community, confidence, and connection through games, art, and student to student conversation. Until October, the district-wide SEL focus will be on bully-prevention and intervention.
Please keep your eyes on your classroom newsletter for further parent information and updates throughout the course of the school year. Should you have any questions, please reach out to our Wayfinder Lead, Ms. Miller, at lmiller5@dcsdk12.org
Again, welcome back to school! We look forward to a wonderful year!

Check out Douglas County Library Battle of the Books website.
