Important Information
Recess Information
We have resumed our indoor morning recess routine until after February Break. In early March, we will reconsider if we can resume outdoor morning recess. We will keep you informed.
For lunch recess, students will go outside in all but the most extreme weather conditions. Students need to dress appropriately for the weather. Indoor recess will be held when the temperature or the wind chill drops to 10 degrees Fahrenheit. We will also stay indoors if it is raining heavily, but will go out if it is raining lightly.
For the Winter
When the temperature is below 32 degrees Fahrenheit, students are required to wear coats, hats, mittens/gloves, and boots.
If there is snow on the ground, snow pants are required to play on the playground.
If you cannot access these items for your student, please contact Mrs. Parker (483-2242). She can provide needed items for your student in a confidential manner.
Lifetime Activities: 4th, 5th & 6th Grades
This year for the Lifetime Activities Program your student will be going with their grade level to skate at Giorgetti Skating Rink, rock climbing at Green Mountain Rock Climbing center, and bowling at Bowlerama. The dates for each location are listed below. PTO is funding these activities therefore there is no cost for students to participate. The program will run on Tuesdays. Please return permission slips ASAP, if you haven't already done so.
Volunteers Needed: If you are able and willing to meet your child's class at their designated activity each week, we would welcome the extra help with tying skates, helping students put on climbing equipment and handing out shoes for bowling. Thank you!
Skating at Giorgetti Park
Students should have snow pants, coat, gloves and a hat along with warm underclothing. Helmets are required to skate. Students should bring their own helmet clearly labeled with their name (we have spares).
Bowling at Rutland Bowlerama
Students should wear comfortable clothes and socks.
Rock Climbing at Green Mountain Rock Climbing Center
All families need to fill out the online waiver for the Green Mountain Rock Climbing Gym (link is below). Students should wear comfortable clothes and socks.
February 3 will be a snow day make up if needed. They will go to the location that was missed if we have a snow day
