Dear Families,
Another week in the books! While we may have had a surprise day off on Tuesday, we want to remind students and their families that we have a scheduled day off on Monday, January 19th in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. We hope everyone enjoys the long weekend.
Here are our updates for this week!
What Do You Need To Know?
Rangers Save Lives

Additionally, a big shout out goes to Superintendent Tyler and Mrs. Chute for leading by example with their own donations.

Another Athletic Milestone: Alexis Wooten Sinks 1,000

ACT Testing for Juniors
On Wednesday, March 18, 2026 we are pleased to offer the ACT to all juniors, at no cost! Students attending the Career Centers will test at the Career Center, not at HT. Please look for communication from the EFCTS regarding their specific testing plans.
Why is taking the ACT beneficial?
The ACT is more than just a college entrance exam. Taking the test can provide several benefits for your student, including:
College Admissions: Most colleges and universities use ACT scores for admission decisions.
Scholarship Opportunities: A strong ACT score can make students eligible for a wide range of academic scholarships from colleges, universities, and private organizations.
Course Placement: Colleges often use ACT scores to place students in appropriate freshman-level courses, such as English and mathematics.
Career and Educational Planning: The ACT provides valuable information about a student's academic strengths, which can help guide their future career and educational choices.
Jersey Mike's Athlete of the Week
Congratulations to this week's recognized Jersey Mike's Athlete of the Week: Logan Baker. Logan is an essential component of our girls basketball program. Her leadership and commitment help create a positive culture. Congratulations, Logan!
Some HTHS Core Values
Please see this message about some of the most important aspects of being a successful Ranger.
The Importance of Attendance
At Hamilton Township High School, showing up matters. One of the most important factors in a student’s success—both in and out of the classroom—is regular attendance.
Academic Success
Students who attend school consistently are more likely to keep up with coursework, understand lessons fully, and earn higher grades. Missing just a few days can make it hard to catch up and creates gaps in learning.
Extra-Curricular Opportunities
Strong attendance connects students to the full high school experience. From athletics to band, cheer, choir, and clubs, students must maintain good attendance to participate and perform at their best. Being present also helps build friendships, teamwork, and leadership skills.
Post-Secondary Readiness
Colleges, employers, and the military all value reliability and responsibility. A strong attendance record demonstrates commitment, dependability, and time management—qualities that open doors for future opportunities.
Starting Strong Matters
The beginning of the school year sets the tone. Students who establish good attendance habits early are more likely to maintain them throughout the year, which leads to long-term success. Every day in class counts, especially during the opening weeks when routines, expectations, and relationships are being built.
