What's Happening In Waterville

We are already heading into February! This semester sure is flying by, and we're ready for the weather to start cooperating with us! It looks like this week we will be able to get outside for recess, and we are SO ready for that!

Kansas Day! Happy Birthday, Kansas! Kansas Day is Monday, January 29th. We will celebrate by having a variety of presenters and activities. Students are invited to dress up in old time clothes if they would like. Preschool and Kinder Prep are also planning their own celebrations since they do not attend class on Mondays.

Updated Food Service Policy Updated Food Service Policy

Dear Parents/Guardians ~

I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to inform you about a recently updated food service policy for our district. The decision to revisit the policy was prompted by an increase in the district's meal debt, primarily due to unpaid meal balances. The updated policy is also attached to this email. Please access the link to our website, where you can access updated information on food service: FOOD SERVICE

We believe these changes will assist both families and the school district in managing the rising meal debt. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the policy or the implemented changes, please feel free to reach out. Your feedback is important to us.

Sincerely,

Sean Spoonts

Superintendent

Positive Office Referrals Positive Office Referrals

Value Honor Success

Each day in the elementary schools, we teach our students how to have purposeful interactions and goals. We believe that having a common purpose will promote the academic and social emotional well-being of each student. We teach students the VHS model.

To celebrate students accomplishing these things, we have created positive office referrals, with VHS tickets. Teachers and staff hand out VHS tickets when they see a student doing the right thing.
