NLHS Parent University - Coming Soon!!
We are excited to introduce Parent University at North Lincoln High School, a new initiative designed to support, empower, and partner with parents as we work together to help our students succeed—both in high school and beyond.
Parent University is a series of learning opportunities, workshops, and resources created specifically for parents and caregivers of high school students. Our goal is to provide relevant information, practical tools, and meaningful conversations around topics that matter most to families, including academics, post-secondary planning, student wellness, and navigating the challenges of adolescence.
We believe that parent voice is essential to making Parent University meaningful and impactful. To ensure we offer sessions and resources that meet your needs, we invite you to share your input on topics you would like to learn more about.
👉 Please take a few minutes to complete our Parent Interest Survey using the link below:
Parent University Parent Input Form
Your feedback will help guide future Parent University sessions and ensure we are addressing the interests of our families! Please respond by Friday, January 23rd.
From the Counseling Corner
For more information, please contact Ms. Anderson or Ms. Donnellan.
Course Registration
The Counselors are starting the registration process at the beginning of February and it will last until the end of March. During this time period each counselor will be meeting with your child individually to pick out the classes they want to register for the '26-'27 school year. What can you do ahead of time? Attend Curriculum night on January 28! On Jan 23 we will be sending home a registration card with each student which is catered to their grade levels class options. Please take some time to look over these cards with your child and select what courses suit them best. There will be a QR code to the county's curriculum guide included for you to go to and explore the class descriptions in detail. There will also be a secondary sheet to list the classes your student has chosen. This sheet must be brought back to the counselor with your child for their registration one-on-one meeting.
More information is to come! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact your child's counselor!
During the registration process, the Counselors will be away from our desk a majority of the day working with all grade levels. If your child is needing to speak to a counselor in regards to something other than class registration during this time, please have them continue to fill out the counselor request form. This can be found on the counselor's page on the school's website. Once they have completed this form, they must wait to be called to the counseling office. Completing the form does not give them permission to come to the office before a counselor calls you. If it is an emergency or crisis, we ask students to please talk to a teacher or other staff member and let them know that you need to speak to an administrator immediately and someone who is available will see them.
