Max was nominated by one of his teachers, stating "Max wortks hard, is always polite, and he is helpful to his classmates. He is always happy and eager to learn." Congratulations, Max!

Nolan was nominated by one of his coaches who shared, "Nolan is a thoughtful and respectful young man. He was commended to me by another teacher because of his behavior and decisions he made in her class." Congratulations, Nolan!

8th Grade Student of the Month: Lance Shelton

Lance was nominated by one of his teachers who shared, "Lance went above and beyond to take care of a peer at MMS. Lance helped another student, who was lost, find their first period class on the first day of school and seeing that the same student was given something to eat since they missed breakfast. Lance walked the other studetns around the school making sure they were okay before going to his first period class." Congratulations, Lance!

Mrs. Keri Little has joined our campus in a new role this year- as our Life Skills teacher. Mrs. Little looks for ways to empower her students and she has already made a positive impact on the climate of her classroom. Thank you, Mrs. Little, for all you do!

It's time for Jenny's Hope grief groups to begin again! Groups will begin on Monday, 9/9 at 6:15PM, and are for families who have lost loved ones to death. The groups will last 8 weeks and are completely free to attend. These groups are for children ages 5 and up along with their guardians. Please let us know ASAP if you know of any families who would like to participate. Please have them call the office at 940-627-1618 or email britt@wiseccc.org.

Mrs. Young on Maternity Leave Mrs. Young on Maternity Leave

At some point this month, if she hasn't already, Mrs. Young will go on maternity leave. Mrs Young will be taking approximately 8 weeks of leave. While out, Mrs. Chaney will be managing the Counseling Department at McCarroll Middle School. In her absence, Mrs. Young's phone and email will be forwarded to Mrs. Chaney. Please send/resend your email to jennifer.chaney@decaturisd.us, if you have not already copied her on the email you have sent me. Please, be patient and courteous of her time, seeing as she will be servicing 800+ students.


If your matter requires immediate attention, we recommend calling McCarroll Middle School (940-393-7300) and asking to speak with Mrs. Chaney, Mrs. Hankins, Mr. Marvin or Mrs. Shisler.
