The Primary Connection

Over the coming days, students will be busy testing and demonstrating to their teachers all of the progress they have made over the past 80+ days of school. This is an important time for students to showcase their growth and reflect on their learning. Thank you for your continued support as they work through this process. Our semester ends on the 23rd of this month and report cards will go home on the following Friday. I look forward to this time of the year because I love seeing the growth our students make from the first day of school!

Project KidSight is a free vision screening program for young children, typically serving preschool and early elementary students. The Lions Club will visit the Primary School next week to screen our students.

What it does:

• Screens children’s vision to identify potential vision problems early

• Uses non-invasive, child-friendly equipment

• Takes only a few minutes per child and does not require reading or verbal responses

Why it matters

• Many vision issues aren’t obvious and can affect:

  • Learning and reading

  • Attention and behavior

  • Overall development

• Early detection allows families to seek professional eye exams and treatment if needed
