McAuliffe Weekly Mission Update

As we look ahead to our Parent-Teacher Conferences, I wanted to reach out and personally invite each of you to come spend a little time with us!

Conferences are truly one of my favorite traditions of the school year. Beyond the numbers and daily schoolwork, they give us a quiet, dedicated moment to sit down together, share stories, and celebrate everything that makes your child special—both academically and socially. A heart-to-heart conversation allows us to see the complete, beautiful picture of who your child is: their bright strengths, their unique learning style, and all the moments that spark their curiosity each day.

Here is why having this time together means so much to us:

• Building Our Team: When families and teachers team up, kids feel a wonderful circle of support surrounding them at home and at school.

• Celebrating Every Victory: It is a joyful opportunity to pause and celebrate the big milestones and quiet victories your child has achieved.

• Dreaming Big Together: We can brainstorm gentle, personalized ways to help your child feel happy, confident, and deeply cared for on their learning journey.

• Connecting Openly: It gives you a warm, comfortable space to share what you see at home, ask any questions, or just chat through any thoughts on your mind.

Whether your child is sailing smoothly or working through a few new bumps in the road, every single meeting is a loving step forward. We cherish you as true partners in your child’s life, and taking the time to connect shows them just how cherished and supported they are.

Keep an eye out for scheduling notes coming home soon. We cannot wait to welcome you, share a smile, and partner together for a wonderful year ahead!

REMINDER: We will be following a minimum day schedule during conference week. School will be dismissed at 1:05 each day.

We have some exciting news to share! Thanks to the incredible support of our McAuliffe families and staff, our first Dine and Donate at The Habit raised $424.36 for the McAuliffe PTO!

We truly appreciate everyone who joined us, shared the event, and helped spread the word. Every fundraiser like this helps us continue supporting our students and school community.

And please ask families to mark their calendars for our next Dine and Donate!

🚗 Parking Lot & Dismissal Reminder

TK/KINDER FAMILIES ONLY, PLEASE! ⭐

From 2:45–3:00 p.m., the drive-through lanes and road directly in front of the school are RESERVED EXCLUSIVELY for TK/Kinder parents picking up their youngest Challengers.

Families picking up 1st–5th grade students should NOT enter or line up in these lanes during this time. Please wait until our TK/Kinder students have been picked up before pulling out or lining up to pick up your 1st–5th grade student. This will help us keep traffic moving safely and efficiently for our youngest students and their families.

🚙 Please do not park or leave your car unattended in the drive-through/drop-off lanes. Keeping vehicles moving is essential for a safe and smooth arrival and dismissal process.

➡️ When dropping off your child, please pull forward as far as possible. This allows more families to safely enter and exit the parking lot and keeps traffic flowing.

🎉 Birthday Celebrations

We love celebrating our students and making their birthdays special! However, many of our students have severe food allergies, so we ask for your help in keeping all of our Challengers safe.

If you would like your child to celebrate their birthday with classmates, please consider sending small non-food treats, such as pencils, erasers, stickers, or other small items.

Families may also order ice cream through the school cafeteria as a birthday treat.

Please remember:

• Homemade treats are not permitted.
• Cupcakes are highly discouraged due to allergy and safety concerns.
