Dear Bateman Families & Friends,
Congratulations to our new Student Council! We are so proud of our student leaders and we wish them all the best this school year.
President: Quetin Phillips
Vice President: Dahlia Avina
Treasurer: Mario Gracia
Co-Secretaries: Natalia Garcia & Aryanna Tang
Historian: Bella Fregoso
They are already busy with the Fall Break Food Drive and Winter Wonderweek planning! Nice job!
Since the time change has allowed us an additional hour of sleep, we should be well-rested and ready to come to school on time everyday. Please remember that classes begin at 8:00am and all students need to be ready for instruction. It is important for all families to plan ahead and make an effort to allow children time to transition to their classrooms. Doors open at 7:50am. We look forward to seeing all of our students on time and ready to learn!
Ms. Davos & Ms. Kloepper
Important Message from CPS Office of Student Protection & Title IX
November 14, 2025
Dear Parents/Guardians,
The safety of our students continues to be of the utmost importance. The District’s Office of Student Protection and Title IX’s commitment to this endeavor includes providing training on preventing and reporting abuse to all Pre-K-12 CPS students.
The Office of Student Protection and Title IX (OSP) Sexual Misconduct, Title IX and Bias-based Behavior Student Training covers the following five learning objectives using developmentally appropriate language:
Students will understand CPS Title IX Policy and Discrimination Statement
Students will know who the Title IX Coordinator is, what OSP does, and how to get in touch with OSP
Students will understand what constitutes sexual harassment and bias-based harm
Students will be aware of the resources available to students who report sexual harassment, retaliation, or bias-based harm, including supportive measures pending an investigation
Students will know what to do if they believe they or other students have been subjected to sexual harassment or bias-based harm
The sessions will take place on Thursday, November 20th. They have been broken down by grade and are all around 30-45 minutes.
Parents have the right to opt-out of the Office of Student Protections and Title IX Student Training. If you choose to opt your child out, please complete the electronic Opt-Out Form by Monday, November 17th.
If you wish to teach your child this material yourself, you can access the videos to the sessions on the OSP website at www.cps.edu/osp.
For questions about course content, please submit them here, and the OSP Training Team will get back to you as soon as possible. Thank you for making CPS a safe place to learn for our students.
