Headteacher's Message
Dear Parents and Carers,
Welcome back to the start of our final term of the year. I hope you all had a restful and holy Easter break, filled with the joy of the Resurrection- happy Easter tide to you all. The Summer term is off to a flying start and the children have come back rested and ready for the busy weeks ahead. Already we have started new topics, celebrated the feast of St. George with a special whole school mass, welcomed visiting coaches from Leyton Orient, posed for class photos and began to get out in to our green spaces to enjoy the sunshine and tend to our school environment. I look forward to seeing all the hard work and successes that the Summer term will bring.
Please keep in mind these reminders, as the sunny days are upon us:
Uniform: Please ensure children are in their summer uniform and have a sun hat for outdoor play.
Sun Protection: As the weather warms up, please apply sun cream before school.
Water Bottles: Staying hydrated is essential for focused learning- please ensure your child brings a refillable water bottle to school.
Best wishes,
Ms R McGylnn
Headteacher

Visitors from Leyton Orient
Mass for the Feast of St. George
On Thursday 23rd April, the whole school came together to celebrate the Feast of St. George at a Mass led by Father Shajin. Pupils and staff joined together in song and prayer as we remember the significance of our patron Saint's life and his courage. Thank you to Father Shajin for leading us in Mass and to Mrs Quinton for the beautiful music.
Year 2 Tennis festival
On Friday 24th April, Year 2 were invited to take part in the Year 2 Tennis skills festival at Ridgeway park. The children had a wonderful time, developing their tennis skills and team work. Well done, Year 2.
Children's Good Friday Stations of the Cross service
On Good Friday, pupils from Year 6 led the Children's Stations of the Cross for families in the parish. Pupils read beautifully and really created a reflective , prayerful atmosphere; taking time to think carefully about each stage of Jesus' journey to crucifixion. Thank you children for being part of this special annual service.
Gatherings outside of school hours
It has come to our attention that some of our older pupils are making plans to meet outside of school time with their classmates. We of course appreciate that pupils want to socialise and spend time with their friends. However, we would like to remind parents and carers to be present with your children, to ensure that all children are safe and supervised on these occasions.

Reflection for Summer term
As we step into the Summer term, we find ourselves in a season that mirrors our faith: a time of growth, light, and new beginnings. In our classrooms and our gardens alike, we see the fruits of a year’s worth of hard work beginning to bloom. We look forward with faith.
This term is always a bustling one, filled with milestones—from our Year 6 students preparing for their next big step to our younger children simply enjoying the warmth of the playground. As a Catholic community, we remain guided by the words of Matthew 5:16:
"In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."
May we continue to work together towards our shared goal this term- to ensure every child has the opportunity to let their unique light shine.
