WP Weekly 3/9/26
Version 1

Dear WP Families,
As we turn the clocks forward for Daylight Saving Time, we may feel the loss of that precious hour of sleep, but the longer days and extra sunshine (!!! yay !!!) are a welcome sign that spring is on its way! With brighter afternoons ahead, thereโs a renewed sense of energy and excitement in the air.
Last week was an amazing one at WP! Our school was filled with laughter, smiles, and incredible school spirit thanks to several fun events that brought our community together. Trimester Pep Rally & Grade Level Games - 3/6
What an incredible day of school spirit and friendly competition at our WP Pep Rally and Grade Level Games on March 6th! Our students showed up ready to compete, proudly dressed in their grade-level colors and eager to take on the challenge! Throughout the event, students and staff participated in spring-themed (and delightfully silly!) games, all hoping to earn the title of grade-level champions. The gym was full of laughter, cheers, and lots of enthusiastic teamwork.
A special shoutout goes to our UPK and Friendship Club students, who served as our amazing Spirit Squad! They welcomed everyone into the gym with cheers, smiles, and lots of positive energy that set the tone for a fantastic event.
And of course, the best part of the dayโฆ we wrapped up the pep rally with our studentsโ favorite whole-group dance, โParty in the USA!โ The entire gym joined in the fun!
It was truly the best day filled with school spirit, laughter, and unforgettable memories!

Safety Drill Notification ๐จ
Dear Parents and Guardians,
The safety of our students and staff is very important to us. One of the ways we stay safe is by practicing safety drills. By doing so, everyone becomes familiar with drill protocols and learns exactly what to do and how to stay safe if there is an emergency situation at school. To support our students and staff, we will be practicing safety drill(s) within the next week. The exact time and date of drills are not provided for security reasons. Please discuss the importance of emergency drills with your child.
Before we practice a drill, we teach students and staff what they need to do. We discuss how the drill will be announced, and we always inform students and staff that it is a drill. We appreciate your cooperation and support as we continue to prioritize the safety and well-being of our students, staff and our school.
If you have any questions about the drills or other safety concerns, please contact our Main Office.
Glow Dance ๐
What a glowing good time we had at our Glow Dance on March 6th! โจ๐บ๐
Our intermediate students lit up the night with neon colors, big smiles, and nonstop dancing.
A huge thank you to our WP PTA for planning and hosting such a fantastic event for our students. Weโre also incredibly grateful to our DJ, Mr. Guilford and Alex, for keeping the dance floor packed, Upstate Images Photobooth for capturing fun memories, our Art Club for creating decorations and all of the wonderful volunteers โ parents, staff, and high school students โ who helped make the evening such a success. We truly couldnโt have done it without you!
If you have additional photos from the evening that youโd like to share, please email them to jknight@wscschools.org. Weโd love to see and share more of the glowing memories! ๐ธโจ
