Ponaganset High School

Supporting our students' emotional and mental well-being is a primary focus at PHS. From November 16–19, 2026, students currently enrolled in PE/Health will participate in our annual Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Awareness unit.

These lessons provide practical information to help students recognize warning signs and know how to access help for themselves or peers. While class discussions will encourage open dialogue, participation is entirely voluntary, and no student will be required to share if they find the topic difficult.

If a student prefers to opt out of the classroom lessons, a PE/Health teacher or a member of our student support staff (school counselor, social worker, or psychologist) will review the material with them in a smaller, individual setting and contact their parent or guardian.

If you have questions or wish to discuss your child's participation, please reach out to their school counselor.

Parent/Teacher Conferences will take place IN-PERSON and BY APPOINTMENT on Monday, November 2nd from 12:30 PM-2:30 PM and again from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM.

A sign up link will be sent out this week for parents to use.

Parents are invited to come have pizza with the principal! This is an evening to discuss school topics, share ideas, and participate in a meet and greet with the Ponaganset High School principal.

Class of 2027 Senior Portraits

Class of 2027 Students and Guardians:

Melino Photo is our official school photographer. In order for your photo to be in the yearbook, Melino Photo must take your photo.

Portrait sessions can start now by calling Melino Photo at 401-738-6614 or going to www.melino-photo.com to book a date and appointment time that works for you. On their website, follow these steps:

1. Click the ‘Book Appointment’ button
2. “Select” the kind of portrait session you want
3. Confirm the date and time that works for you
4. Type your Student ID# into the “User Name” and “Password” boxes
5. Click “Login” and you’ll receive confirmation details for your appointment

Payment is taken at the appointment, not during scheduling.
