Parent Connection

We are thrilled to announce that for Catholic Schools Week this year, our service project will be supporting Lockport CARES! 🙌

Lockport CARES is Eastern Niagara's only emergency homeless shelter, offering crucial services to those in need right here in our community. 🏠

As a school, we will come together to make a difference by hosting a few $1 Dress Down Days and a CSW Service Project to support this wonderful cause. Every little bit counts, and together we can make a big impact! 💙

Let's show our school spirit and generosity as we give back to those who need it most. Stay tuned for more details!

Our Annual Open House for new or prospective families will be held on Sunday, January 26th from Noon until 2:00pm here at DeSales. If you know someone who may be interested in DeSales, please invite them to attend this Open House.

Our best marketing is YOU! Please help us spread the word.

Families who refer a new student entering Kindergarten through 8th grade are eligible for a $500 referral bonus! This bonus is given as a tuition credit 6 months after the new family begins paying tuition.

We need a number of volunteers to help make our Annual Open House a success. Parents, Grandparents, Alumni, Students (grades 5 & up) are invited to help us give tour to prospective families. If you can help, please consider signing up using the link below. Thank you in advance!

If you or your student would like to speak at Mass about your DeSales experience (script provided), please reach out to Mrs. Knuutila at Knuutilak@desalescatholicschool.org.

Re-registration for current DeSales families will open on January 17th. For the convenience of our families, we will be using a one-step Registration Confirmation again this year. On January 17th you will receive an email inviting you to confirm your child's registration for Fall 2025. This re-registration is how you will secure your students spot for the 2025-2026 school-year.

We anticipate a very busy year in admissions. We want to ensure our current families (you!) secure the spots they want for the upcoming school-year in preschool & kindergarten. Please take a moment and indicate your classroom preference for the Fall 2025 by completing this quick form. We will reserve spots in these classrooms based on your responses. Please respond as soon as possible.

** You will be asked to formally register to secure your child's spot via email on January 17th.

As we begin the New Year, DeSales is introducing a unique and heartwarming challenge – a Blizzard of Kindness!

Students are invited to participate by performing acts of kindness – whether it’s helping a classmate, offering a kind word, or lending a hand to someone in need. Students will write their good deed on paper snowflakes in their classroom. These snowflakes will be displayed throughout the school, transforming our halls into a beautiful visual of how small actions can snowball into something much larger.

This school-wide activity will begin on Monday, January 6th. Let it snow (kindness)!

Week 1: January 6th - 10th - Students will be challenged to do something kind for a classmate.

Week 2: January 13th - 17th - Students will be challenged to do something kind within the school community.

Week 3: January 20th - 24th - Students will be challenged to do something kind at home.

Week 4: January 27th - 31st - Students will be challenged to do something kind for the community.

Let’s work together to spread positivity, empathy, and generosity throughout DeSales and our community.
