FALL BOOK FAIR IS HERE
Our Needmore Fall Book Fair is right around the corner! Join us Friday, October 30 through Friday, November 6 for a great selection of books for students of all ages. It's a wonderful opportunity to encourage a love of reading while supporting our school. We can't wait to see our students discover their next favorite book!
HATS OFF AWARD WINNERS
At Needmore, we love celebrating students who go above and beyond! Our "Hats Off Award" recognizes students who demonstrate outstanding behavior, effort, and character. Staff members submit student names, and those selected receive a certificate, are featured in our newsletter and morning announcements, and are entered into a drawing for a special prize at our quarterly celebration. We are so proud of our students who shine as leaders in our school!
Walter
Walter did an outstanding job during his 4th grade SEL lesson about bullying! He shared thoughtful answers about recognizing bullying and the importance of standing up for others. Walter listened carefully, participated appropriately, and encouraged his classmates to be upstanders instead of bystanders. What a great example of leadership and kindness! Way to go, Walter!
Nolan
Nolan has become a wonderful leader in kindness in his classroom! Whether he's helping clean up stations or cheering up a friend who's having a tough day, Nolan is always looking for ways to make someone's day better. He notices when others need help and jumps right in without being asked. What a great example of kindness and leadership! Keep it up, Nolan!
Elijah
Elijah is a wonderful example of responsibility and kindness in his classroom! He takes the initiative to help keep the classroom clean and organized without ever being asked. Eli also consistently uses good manners and treats his classmates with kindness and respect. His positive attitude and willingness to help make his classroom a better place for everyone. Way to lead by example, Eli!
Azalya
Azalya has made amazing progress in both reading and math this year! Her hard work, determination, and positive attitude have helped her grow so much. She is always kind to others, gets along well with her classmates, and gives her personal best each day. We are so proud of everything Azalya has accomplished! Keep shining bright, Azalya!

ATTENDANCE MATTERS
Regular school attendance plays a key role in your child’s success. Each day in the classroom provides valuable learning opportunities, builds routines, and helps students stay connected with their teachers and peers. Missing even a few days can make it harder for students to keep up. We appreciate your support in helping your child attend school consistently and arrive on time each day!

NLCS ANONYMOUS BULLYING REPORT
Bullying fosters a climate of fear and disrespect that can seriously impair the physical and psychological health of its victims and create conditions that negatively affect learning. Bullying includes unwanted, aggressive behavior that involves a real or perceived power imbalance. The behavior is repeated, or has the potential to be repeated, over time. The imbalance of power involves the use of physical strength or popularity to access embarrassing information to control or harm others. Bullying can occur anywhere (in school or outside of school) and at any time both during and after school hours
This form is for reporting bullying, harassment, or other concerning behavior involving students. You may complete this form anonymously, or you may choose to provide your name and contact information for follow-up.
Please provide as much detail as you can including:
- What happened
- Where and when it occurred
- Who was involved and/or affected
All reports are reviewed by school staff and will be handled according to school policy. While anonymous reports are accepted, providing your contact information may help us investigate more thoroughly.
This form is intended for non-emergency situations. If someone is in immediate danger, call 911 or tell a trusted adult or school official right away.
Please use this form responsibly. It is designed to help keep students safe and supported.
MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT
At NLCS, we take student mental health seriously and are committed to supporting the whole child. We have systems in place to ensure students receive the care they need, including access to mental health support and a clear process for responding to concerns. Our staff follows a structured flowchart when a student may be a harm to themselves or others, ensuring timely, appropriate support and communication. If you ever have concerns about your child, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We are here to help.
PTO INFORMATION
We are so grateful for our amazing Needmore PTO and the countless ways they support our students, staff, and families throughout the year! From organizing events and providing classroom support to helping create special experiences for our students, our PTO plays a huge role in making Needmore such a great place.
We encourage all families to get involved. Whether you can volunteer your time, share ideas, or simply stay connected. Your support makes a difference and helps us continue building a strong school community!
SELF-CARE ITEMS FOR STUDENTS
We’re always looking for ways to help our students feel comfortable, cared for, and ready to learn! Families who would like to help can purchase self-care items for our students through our Amazon Wishlist. These items will be available at school for students who may need a little extra support throughout the day.
Every donation, big or small, helps us take care of our Toppers. Thank you for supporting our students!
