This includes letters of reference from school and community members. The application is due to Carroll County High School at the end of the first semester of a student’s junior year.

ACT and SAT Testing
While all Kentucky juniors are required to take the SAT in the spring, it can be beneficial for students to take either the ACT or SAT test on their own. These test scores can be used for college admissions, scholarships, and the Governor's Scholar Program. To take these tests, students must register, select a date and testing location, and pay for the test. ACT fee waivers are available for students who are in need.
Students who plan to apply to the Governor's Scholar Program must have a test score to submit with their application. Scores and GSP applications are due to CCHS by December, so students need to take their test in the early fall.
