HAVE A GREAT WEEK!đžđđ
Happy October Beaubien Families,
Fall is officially here and the month of September has gone by in the blink of an eye. With the start of Fall, please send your child to school with a jacket and warmer clothing as the weather gets cooler. We will be having a school wide assembly in the next few weeks as we honor and celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. See below for some great sites you can click on to help take advantage of everything our city has to offer.

We need your help!! We are working really hard on getting everyone to school on time and obtaining an attendance rate over 95% this school year. Our school day starts promptly at 7:45 a.m. It is difficult for teachers to get the day started when students are late and it is hard on our students when they have to catch up the minute they get into their classrooms. Students who accumulate 5 or more tardies will be expected to serve a detention. If your child is late due to the bus, they will not be considered tardy. Letâs get our children to school and on time!
Please review the CPS attendance policy as our student attendance is tracked daily in ASPEN. We also ask that parents call the main office (773-534-3500) or fill out the e-absence form if your student will be missing school. The only excused absences are for illness, family emergency or a religious holiday.
Each grade level homeroom that has the best attendance for the week will be receiving a plushie Bulldog to keep for the following week and we will be holding a quarterly celebration event for all students who do not have any unexcused absences or tardies. Our goal is for every Beaubien student to attend!!!
Grade Promotion
Please view the CPS grade promotion policy HERE. I strongly encourage parents to utilize ASPEN Portal (1st-8th only) to view your studentsâ grades on a regular basis. It is a great way to stay up to date on assignments and tests.
There are many exciting events taking place during the month of October. Two of my favorites are our Annual Walk-a-thon on October 18th and our Boo-Bien Bash/6th-8th grade dance on Friday, October 25th. They are sure to be a lot of fun!! In order to stay informed, PLEASE SIGN UP on our website to get notifications of all of the activities going on at our school.
Warm regards,
Michelle H. Ludford, Principal
