Dear Families,
We had a wonderful start to the school year at Wessagusset! Students and staff were very excited and enthusiastic about kicking off a new school year. During the next few weeks we will focus on establishing connections, creating strong relationships, and practicing our school-wide positive behavior expectations. These building blocks must be in place in order to create an environment of belonging and academic achievement. We use the phrase “ROAR” to teach students about the importance of Respect, Ownership, Achievement and Responsibility. Although it has only been a few days, we can already tell that it is going to be a fantastic year! At Wessagusset we value a strong home-school partnership, so please feel free to reach out to your child’s teacher, as well as myself and Ms. Brennan if you have any questions or concerns. Lots of important information this week:
Arrival/dismissal reminder: When dropping off and picking up, please be aware that the main driveway is closed from 8:50-9:25 and 3:00-3:25, and is inaccessible by vehicles with the exceptions of WPS buses and vans. We encourage you to use the beach parking lot (on North St.) or the James O’Sullivan parking lot (on Pilgrim Road) to ensure safety for our buses and vans. Thank you for your help with this!
We are fortunate to welcome our new staff members to the Wessagusset School Family. We are so happy to have them here!
Ms. Mia Bliss, Grade 3
Ms. Mikayla Matheson, Communication Enhancement Program
Ms. Devon Brown, Art
Mr. Kevin Pritchard, Math Instructional Coach

More than two decades later, it is still so important to take a moment to acknowledge the attacks of September 11. We honor all those who lost their lives on that devastating day, and keep all of those whose lives were affected in our thoughts.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend. We can’t wait to see our students tomorrow!
Sincerely,
