Hello Bulldog Families.
We hope our BHS students have enjoyed their start to our fall break and are looking forward to an extended weekend. Today, our teachers were engaged in professional development around our work based learning options at Batavia High School as well as learned about the launch of our new writing center called “The Write Place”.
On October 18th, students in grades 10-12 will learn about our partnership with the Hamilton County Educational Service Center and their work based learning support through an online portal called LinkedUp Connect. With parent approval, students will have the opportunity to enter this online system that will connect them with area business partners to help support internships, experienceships, and job shadowing opportunities as a way to help high school students see the connection between school and work. Take a few minutes to look through the introductory notice linked into this newsletter. We will also be sending information out on October 18th for parents to preview and read.
When we return to school on Tuesday, October 15th, we will begin the first day of the second quarter. Thank you for continuing to support your students in their educational journey at BHS.
