Good evening, Trojan Families!

This is a message from your proud principal, Mrs. Kinard, and the school leaders at Ferndale Middle School. We strongly encourage you to access the digital version of this announcement, available on our school website and social media. It contains additional important information that you and your students need to know.

EOG retesting will occur Monday and Tuesday, June 9th and 10th. Students must be present and on time both days to take advantage of this important opportunity. Please help us make sure they get the chance to finish strong!

Our last day of school is Wednesday, June 11th, and we’ll be celebrating our 8th grade students during the Promotion Ceremony that morning. We look forward to recognizing their accomplishments as they move on to high school.

Thank you for a wonderful year of partnership and support. We are proud of all our Trojans and the growth they’ve made this year. From all of us at Ferndale, we wish you a safe, restful, and enjoyable summer!

GCS Immigration Response GCS Immigration Response

Every family should know that every child in Guilford County has the Constitutional right to attend school regardless of immigration status. The Guilford County Schools does not request or record information about a student’s immigration status. Federal and state laws protect student information from disclosure to others, including Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). GCS does not permit non-students, including ICE agents, access to GCS facilities unless they can produce a warrant signed by a federal judge. School administrators will not permit the disclosure of confidential student information without first consulting their attorney to make sure that the information has been properly subject to a federal judge’s warrant.

Families should consult community resources to learn their rights and additional information will be provided to help families access these resources.
