This past week, we had our mandatory Bus Evacuation practice with all our Browning Bears and they did an excellent job! Special thank you to our PTA and all our families for helping make our TRUNK OR TREAT a smashing success. Reminder that next week, we do not have school on election day, November 4th, due to Professional Development for staff.

OURSELVES

• We are responsible only for ourselves and no one else

• We know we can not control anyone else's actions

• We give kind (and in class, SILENT) reminders to our friends to do the right thing

• We strive to have appropriate responses to others actions

OUR TIME

• We pace ourselves to accomplish our tasks on time

• We use timers to stay on track and transition when it is time

• We work diligently and stay focused

• We make time for our family, friends, and a healthy lifestyle

OUR TASKS

• We focus on what we NEED before what we WANT

• We know our job is to be good students, so we lend our time and attention to schoolwork before playtime

• We work hard so we can play hard

OUR THINGS

• We stay organized and tidy

• We keep our things in their proper place so we don't lose them

• We accept responsibility for all lost items

• We treat borrowed items with respect and return them in a timely manner and in good condition

Your students are working so hard to take responsibility for themselves and to encourage their classmates to do the same. This really has been a great month of witnessing your students become more responsible, respectful people. 🙂

I am attaching the final SCHOOL COMPACT that our students have written together. They have collectively decided that this is how respect and responsibility look like at Browning.
