Imagine A Day Without Water Lesson -A resource that was shared if anyone is interested
We invite you to join us in celebrating Imagine a Day Without Water with your students! The purpose of this campaign is to help us all appreciate the importance of clean water in our lives and the infrastructure and people that provide it. Our team has created some resources to help your class celebrate with a fun and educational activity, and maybe even win a prize from the Public Works team.
- Visit https://fultoncountyga.gov/Services/Water-Services/Public-Education-and-Outreach to download one of our fill-in-the-blank “silly stories” (along with coloring pages and worksheets from the Value of Water campaign).
- Follow the directions to complete the story with your class.
- Record a short video for social media of your class (or yourself!) reading the results out loud. **You must have permission to post images of anyone who appears in the video**
- Visit https://forms.microsoft.com/g/0pufasgnZL to submit your video and we’ll send you some Public Works swag for your class!

Student Success Skills
Student Success Skills:October 6-October 10
This week in SSS, we’re focusing on Relationships, the way in which two or more people are connected. Students navigate a variety of relationships every day, including those with family, friends, classmates, teachers and community members. Developing and maintaining relationships requires a range of social skills that are unique to each type of relationship. Our lessons this week will help students develop and strengthen the skills needed to build meaningful connections that foster a sense of belonging.

This week's Staff Points Report (from Thurs 9/25-Thurs 10/02): Staff Points Report_Sept 25-Oct 2
The PBIS Store will be open Next Week during the 8:25-8:45 holding time in the front atrium on: Wednesday (10/08) and Friday (10/10)
Reminders/Repeat Information Below:
Change in Work Hours
With the change to a 4:05pm dismissal and the late arrival of our buses, we are altering the staff work hours. You must be in your classroom or at your post by 8:25am each day. The work hours are 8:25am-4:25pm. Note: this does not mean walking in the door at 8:25pm. If we call buses at 4:20pm, you do not need to wait until 4:25pm to leave. We know how hard you are working. Hopefully there will be very few days we call for buses after 4:25pm, but as always, we do have to stay to keep the kids safe in these instances.
Head Coverings: Students are not allowed to wear any head coverings during the school day (classroom or common-area). Please be tactful when you remind them of this expectation.
Morning Help Sessions Process:
- If your help session begins before 8:25am, please meet your students at the front doors and escort them to your classroom.
- Teachers will write your name on the whiteboard in the atrium. Administrators present will allow students to go if the teacher’s name is on the whiteboard (or if you give the student a pass).
- Students arriving 8:25–8:30 may go to your room if your name is listed on the whiteboard.
- Students arriving after 8:30 must have a physical pass.
- Dismiss students in time for first period.
Minors and Subs
Please issue at minimum a minor referral to any student whose name is left by a substitute for poor behavior. Likewise, I encourage you to give PBIS points for any students or classes who do great for a sub. Please add something about this to your sub plans so they will know to leave names if needed. Also, please prepare your students for this and encourage them to be helpful and supportive while you are out.
