Dear Bellerive Families,

I appreciate everyone who was able to attend Open House last week! I hope you enjoyed visiting Bellerive and learning more about the year ahead for your child.

We will have our first early release day on Wednesday, September 11. School dismisses at 2 pm, and the buses should arrive home approximately two hours earlier than a normal day. This is a fun day for students! Our Bellerive leaders will do an activity with their buddy class and engage in a service project with their grade level. All students will learn more about Habit 1: Be Proactive, and students in Grades 2-5 will participate in LEAD groups!

Thank you,

Joey Kneer

Please Call the Office!

For parents and students, the Parkway app is designed to offer one place where you can access emails, text messages, and other communications from your school and the district, as well as grades, attendance, calendars, lunch menus, news and more. The app is customized for you and your school(s) and allows you to set alerts, notifications and delivery preferences to tell us how and when you want to receive messages.

Download the Parkway Schools mobile app in the Apple App Store or get it on Google Play.

Submit or Update Your Volunteer Application Submit or Update Your Volunteer Application

Teachers are already beginning to plan some fun field trips this year! They will need your help as chaperones, but in order to chaperone a field trip, you must be an approved volunteer. This website explains this Parkway volunteer process. Some parts of this process must be completed annually! You will want to take care of this process now so there isn't a delay prior your child's field trip or another volunteer opportunity.

Car Line Reminders Car Line Reminders

Thanks for everyone's cooperation with our car line procedures for drop-off and pick-up. Now that we are getting into the routine, here are some ways you could help us make the car line more efficient:

  • Please practice unbuckling/buckling with your child so they can do this independently.
  • Encourage them to be "ready to go" during drop-off with their backpack and lunchbox in hand.
  • Prompt your child to open the door themselves as soon as your car is safely stopped. We try our best to greet each car and open the car doors, but your child does not need to wait for an adult to open the door.

Free/Reduced Lunch Applications Free/Reduced Lunch Applications

It is important to submit your new Free/Reduced Lunch Application for this school year. If your child was receiving free/reduced meals previously, the carry-over window is ending soon. If a new application is not submitted soon, your child will be charged full price for breakfast and lunch. The online application is quick and easy, but if you need a printed copy of the application sent home with your child, please call or email Stacy Bailey in the main office (314-415-6054 or sbailey@parkwayschools.net).

Social Emotional Survey Social Emotional Survey

Bellerive students in grades 3-5 will be taking a social emotional survey between September 23 and October 4 so that we can better understand and support their needs.

Students will take the surveys during the regular school day. They will take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete. All responses will be kept confidential and used only by teachers and counselors to support student needs. Please see this list of frequently asked questions for more information. If you do not want your child to participate, please complete this opt-out form by September 5. Paper forms are also available in the front office.
