JDA Resources and Links

Welcome to Parent Resources!
To help streamline our communication and reduce information overload, we’ve gathered all essential resources, forms, and frequently used links for JDA families in one centralized location. Rather than repeating the same information each week, this space will serve as your go-to reference throughout the year. When you need a form, a reminder, or clarification, start here—we’ll keep it updated so you always have access to what matters most. Our goal is clear communication, fewer emails, and a stronger partnership between school and home.
Athletic Bags and Arrival Procedures **Update**
We’ve noticed an increase in athletic bags being brought into the main building instead of going directly to the gym after arrival. To keep arrival procedures running smoothly, all athletic bags will be collected at both entrances and delivered to the gym to be placed in lockers.
Please note: athletic bags should not contain any academic materials. Clear or mesh bags are required for academic materials and may continue to be carried into the building.
The biggest help from families is ensuring that all non-clear or non-mesh athletic bags are clearly labeled with your student’s full name, so bags are delivered to the correct student in the gym.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership.
Dietary Restrictions
In order for us to honor any dietary restrictions, students must have a doctor's note on file to support it. With all other restrictions, whether religious or personal, it will be up to the student to select items that fit best within their diets. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out.

JDA Community we need your input!
In our parent/family engagement corner we are organizing a welcome packet for new parents who enrolled their students recently and are needing to get to know the area. If you know of any local businesses or restaurants that you feel are good spots to check out, please email the parent liaison to provide details. Jennyfer.arriaza@killeenisd.org
Update to Parent Volunteer Orientation Times
Our volunteer orientation times have changed! They will now be held every other Tuesday at 8am - 8:30 am Virtual or Online and every other Friday from 3:00-3:30. There are plenty of opportunities in both January and February to come and serve our JDA community. Please email the parent liaison to RSVP at jennyfer.arriaza@killeenisd.org
Yondr Pouch Fines
As part of our midyear Yondr pouch checks, students were assessed a fine for a missing or damaged Yondr pouch. To remain in compliance with our phone-free expectations, students must have a functional Yondr pouch each day.
The fine can be paid and cleared through our school store here:
https://drjimmiedonaycockmiddleschool.myschoolcentral.com/(S(ffhxaa2a41tixmynvw2mcmuo))/Index.aspx#/520741/product/36496
Once the fine is cleared, a replacement pouch will be issued. If you have already paid the fine and you received a text message, please disregard. If you are able to locate the missing pouch, we are happy to work with you—please contact the front office at 254-336-3300 or email jda@killeenisd.org
Thank you for your continued partnership in supporting focused learning at JDA.

After 4 pm, any student that is not actively engaged in an approved after school activity will be taken to Boys and Girls Club. Students must be signed up. We suggest that everyone sign up, just in case, as life happens!
Students can be picked up from Boys and Girls Club at Door 4 (after the buses depart) by calling 254-922-1139. Save this number!
Dress Code- Applies to the School Day AND ANY KISD Event
Any students that are not able to get into dress code will be asked to call their parents to bring them clothing that will get them back into dress code. Students will wait in ISS until their parents are able to bring them a change of clothes.
*Please help us keep your student in instruction and review their clothing choices before they come to school.
We are accepting donations for our clothing closet! If we are able to find something in the closet that will get your student back into class, that is our first choice, before calling parents and asking them to bring additional clothing.
