Hello, Mustang Families!!! As we approach our upcoming testing days (BEGINNING THIS WEEK!!!), we want to take a moment to celebrate the incredible journey our students have been on this year. The ATLAS assessments aren't just tests—it’s a special opportunity for our students to show off everything they have worked so hard to learn! From mastering new math strategies to exploring complex stories and scientific wonders, our teachers and students have put in tremendous effort. We are so proud of their growth, their perseverance, and their curiosity.

How we are preparing at school:

  • We’re keeping our routine positive and relaxed.

  • We’re focusing on "giving our best effort" rather than "getting it right."

  • We’re celebrating the "brain power" we’ve built all year long!

How you can help at home:

  • Rest: Ensure your child gets a good night's sleep.

  • Fuel: A healthy breakfast helps keep focus sharp.

  • Encouragement: A simple "I'm proud of how hard you work" goes a long way!

Let’s help our students walk into school with their heads held high, ready to shine. We already know they are superstars—now they get to show the world!

April

The CKH theme for the month of April is Finish Strong/Perseverance. The goal is to focus efforts to sustain our CKH culture. This month we are challenging students to work hard and stay determined. We are partnering with you to acknowledge your child’s achievement of goals- big and small! By helping your child develop perseverance now, you can prepare them to learn from their future failures and work hard to achieve future successes. This month, look for opportunities to teach and model the power of perseverance!

Notes from Nurse Marcie Notes from Nurse Marcie

If your child has not been to the dentist within the year or is complaining of tooth pain or problems, schedule them an appointment for dental care. Many of these clinics and offices offer sliding-scale fees for both children and adults, making dental care more accessible for those who may be uninsured or underinsured.
