WELCOME BACK! WELCOME BACK!

Hi WHS Students and Families,

Welcome back! While we had many students in the building during the summer, I'm excited to have our full community back in just a few, short weeks. If last year is any indicator, we are in for a successful year at our PFC Moxley campus. Together we will continue to learn, grow, and care for one another through the transitional phase of our soon-to-be new building back on Columbia St.

Speaking of Columbia Street, if you haven't driven by the project, take a moment to stop and see the incredible progress the building team has made. From the administrative side, this year will be filled with decisions about how our new building will look and how our school community will learn in our new, state-of-the-art space.

This s'more includes information about the beginning of school and living in our multi-building campus. Please take some time to sit and review but know that no matter what information your student arrives with, we will make them an expert on our campus and its intricacies in no time.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to fill out the "How are we doing" form at the bottom of this, and all s'mores. In addition, there is a "Who to Contact" button at the bottom of this, and all s'mores that can direct you to someone for help.

We can't wait to greet your student on September 3rd and start another great year at Moxley.

Go Raiders!

HANDBOOK CHANGE

This year students in grades 10-12 are allowed to leave campus during lunch. Please remember that ONLY students in grade 12 may leave during study halls. All students traveling off campus for lunch MUST sign out using the QR code at door 1 in Moxley.

DRESS FOR THE WEATHER

Umbrellas will NOT be supplied this year. We tried this as a pilot last year and, unfortunately, the pilot was just too costly and we ended up with no umbrellas by the end of the year. :-(

All students should come to school appropriately dressed and prepared for the weather. This may mean bringing an umbrella or a rain jacket from home. As always, if weather conditions are unsafe we will temporarily hold movement between buildings. As we did last year, if weather is inclement enough, we will move PE classes indoors to Moxley, instead of traveling to the Boys & Girls Club. Students will be told this through Google Classroom, PA announcements, and student morning announcements.

MBTA BUSING UPDATE

Students that would like an MBTA Charlie card: please read this important update.
