The MuraskiTribune: Issue 12Important Dates and Information for the 24-25 School Year

A Message from the Principals A Message from the Principals

Good Afternoon Muraski Families,

I can't believe we are in the month of February! Depending on the days that you count, we've had 100 days of school and are already closely approaching the end of the 2nd trimester. This tends to be the toughest part of the school year as our students get a little stir crazy, there aren't any breaks on the horizon and the gray gets old, but we've got a lot of fun ahead for both our students and our families.

Please take a look at what's ahead. There is Breakfast with a Buddy, a Fashion Show, and Valentine's Day on the Horizon.

In February, we will focus on Kindness and Respect as a part of our community building and PBIS initiatives.

Let's have a great few weeks!

Arrival & Dismissal Procedures Arrival & Dismissal Procedures

As we are still going through the winter months, please be mindful of our arrival and dismissal procedures, as how you access drop-off and pick-up impacts the flow of traffic, but also the safety in the line.

  • When Arriving - Please only use the curb lane if you plan to drop your child off and allow them to walk into the building on their own. If you plan on parking, getting out of your car, and walking your child up to the door, please use the spaces that are available, so there is no break in the flow of our drop off.
  • During Dismissal - Please do not park anywhere in the bus loop to pick your child up. This includes against the curb past the side lot entrance. This blocks visibility of the sidewalk. You are able to park on the grass as the loop meets the driveway, but please do not use the bus loop.

School Fees School Fees

As a reminder, all school fees that have not been paid are now considered past due. To check the balance and pay outstanding school fees, go to Pay Schools Central by clicking HERE. In addition to Pay Schools Central, school fees can be paid by cash/check to your student’s building secretary or with the Treasurer's Office. If you have questions related to this, please contact the building secretary or Melissa LePage (mlepage@scsmustangs.org) within the Treasurer's Department. As we are approaching a new school year, as well as the start of fall sports, per Board of Education policy, the consequences for outstanding prior year school fees will prohibit students from participating in any school extracurricular activities (i.e., athletics, student council, school clubs, etc.), field trips, and school sanctioned dances / events that require a purchased ticket. For additional information on District Fee Collection Procedures and Consequences CLICK HERE.
