Hubbard WoodsFamily NewsletterJanuary 26, 2026

Dear Hubbard Woods Families,

At Hubbard Woods and across The Winnetka Public Schools, we are always working to grow, reflect, and improve so that every child feels known, supported, and inspired. As part of this commitment, our district is partnering with Studer Education to gather feedback from families about their school experiences.

We invite you to take a few moments to complete the Parent/Caregiver Experience Survey:

👉 The Winnetka Public Schools – Parent/Caregiver Experience Survey

Your feedback is incredibly valuable. It helps us celebrate what is working well and guides us as we think thoughtfully about where we can continue to improve—for our students, our families, and our school community.

The survey will remain open until January 30, 2026. Thank you for your time, your honesty, and your continued partnership. We are truly grateful to work alongside you in supporting our students.

The Winnetka Public Schools Preschool Services Webinar (Wednesday, February 4, 2026)

Families of Winnetka preschool-aged children (ages 3–5) who receive or may need special education services are invited to attend a virtual Preschool Services Webinar on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.

This webinar will explain how The Winnetka Public Schools supports preschool-aged students by completing screenings and/or evaluations to determine eligibility for services. Families will learn about our partnerships with community preschools, the continuum of services available for children ages 3–5, and how individualized supports are provided in inclusive settings. The session will also review what transitions to kindergarten look like for students with IEPs, including timelines and staffing.

There will be time for questions, and families will leave with a clearer understanding of how District 36 works with families and community partners to ensure continuity, quality, and strong transition planning.

Message from Nurse J

Dear Parents,

We wanted to take a moment to share a gentle reminder as several illnesses are currently circulating in our school community.

To help keep all students and staff healthy, we kindly ask that you please be mindful about keeping your child home if they are showing signs of illness, such as fever, vomiting, persistent cough, or other symptoms that may be contagious. Allowing children time to rest and recover at home not only supports their well-being, but also helps prevent the spread of illness to others.

We truly appreciate your partnership and understanding as we work together to maintain a healthy and safe learning environment for everyone. If you have any questions or are unsure whether your child is well enough to attend school, please review the district health guidelines or don’t hesitate to reach out.

Thank you for your continued support.
